I really like the way this turned out. :gush: (Why isn't there a gush emote?) Anyway, I was screwing around with technique as well as concept and I came up with this. First off, for those of you who follow me regularly, yes, this is the same model as from 'Quietly' and 'The Fall'. I can't help myself. I absolutely adore working with him (it's the shape of that mouth, I swear to you)... but here he is again. Tralala. So anyway, I was doing more of a 'rough', decaying sort of thing with this piece. Lily Noir would be referring to the fact that the weirdness beneath his eye is actually a radiographed (x-ray, i.e. inverted) lily that I flipped over and worked into the piece. I'm thinking about doing a few of these (you know, hot spooky boys with weird x-ray flowers ), but you never know with me. I'm so fickle. So fickle!
Hope you enjoy it.

Ania is an amazing artist and great friend. Her charcoal techniques are simply divine, and Lily Noir is a beautiful example of her work. Be sure to give her gallery a thorough look. I'm sure there's something everyone will enjoy. (Featured by `grubin)

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
