Why hello there.

I haven't written an 'official' journal entry here since January, which it just a little crazy if you ask me. So I figure, this is a perfect time for an update, because tonight is a very good night, indeed.

As a good number of you know, my participation here on dA has been nearly nonexistent for the past eight or nine months, and I've drawn one or two things in that amount of time. The reason being, I've been slaving over my first love: writing. It's been about eight months with one false start, but I've found myself with 110,000 words worth of something that, had you asked me eight months ago, I wouldn't have been sure I was able to create. (110,000 words is a little over 400 pages.) And though I still have a couple of extra scenes to plug in here and there, I really do feel that I've reached some sort of imaginary finish line.

So! I don't really know why I'm posting this other than to tell someone, anyone, that I've done this crazy thing... Sometimes you just have to lift your arms above your head and say 'hey, look what I did'.

As far as the next step goes, it's both intimidating and exciting. I'll be looking for an agent, submitting to publishing houses... and hopefully I'll find myself victorious.

When it comes to dA? I'll never give up drawing, and I'll obviously be taking a break between this book and the next (you heard right, it's a series... most likely three or four books long, because I'm effin' nuts). I'm sure I'll end up with a few new pieces during my break, when it finally comes. So keep an eye out.

And for those of you itching with curiosity, I've loved vampires far before Edward Cullen existed. Terrifyingly, I've loved them for longer than some of you have been alive (GOD). Let that be your hint.
